Arraigns Facebook User Over Post
The Department of State Service has charged a 48-year-elderly person, Joshua Sayo Oki under the steady gaze of a Magistrate Court in Osogbo, the state capital over his Facebook post that was viewed as humiliating to the Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Mr Timothy Owoeye.
The Prosecutor, Mr Boo Nweke told the court that the blamed individual submitted the offense on nineteenth of June, 2020 in Osogbo.
He clarified that the charged individual criticized Owoeye by distributing derisive pictures and words on his Facebook account, Sayo Oki. The examiner said the data posted by the charged individual was bogus.
The investigator expressed that the offense perpetrated by the blamed individual was in opposition to Section 374(1)b and 374 and culpable under Section 375 of the Criminal Code Cap 34, Vol. 2 Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2002.
The charged individual argued not liable to the offense leveled against him and his guidance, Ibraheem Imran applied for his bail.
The Magistrate, Modupe Awodele allowed the bail of the blamed individual in the entirety for N 100,000 with 2 guarantees in like total. The case was suspended till fourteenth of July, 2020.
